A step-by-step guide to check vehicle owner details by number plate through the VAHAN portal
Step 1: Visit Parivahan’s official website.
Step 2: Click on “Informational Services” and select “Know Your Vehicle Details”.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the VAHAN portal.
Step 4: Create an account if you are a new user, or you can log in to your account by entering the credentials.
Step 5: Enter the vehicle registration number you want to search, fill in the captcha code, and hit the “Vahan Search” button.
Step 6: The following page will display the vehicle owner’s details and other critical vehicle information.
What vehicle owner details can I get through the VAHAN portal?

- Road tax or MV (Motor Vehicle) tax validity
- Hypothecation status
